now the thing is i dont really know what is going on in isreal. it gets much news coverage here, so i am informed about recent events. i know about the history too but what really matters is day-to-day live and the opinion by the average israeli/arab. here i know nothing.

Don't trust that news coverage too much. They come to cover action. They don't usually care for details. Like filming crying palestinians near a ruined building which has been bombed for the 4th (!) time claiming it's their house and that they ran away from the bomb a few seconds before the building crumbled when it's in ruins for the last month (4th bombing as I said, Israel bombed ruins more than once).

Too bad there isn't a Hebrewtranslator on the web, this way you could read Israeli news sites and see a whole different view about the subject. Even the extreme left views here (which I truely and honestly hate so god damn deeply) aren't covered by international media.

Gross oversimplification. Some Europeans hate the Americans, a tiny minority at that. Some Europeans, a sizable chunk of them, disagree with Globalisation. And also some Europeans are perfectly cool with it.

Of course, extremists there are everywhere and have always existed, why should it be different now that it had been in the past? You people are way underestimating the strengths of western society. Takes more than a bunch of terrorists to destroy us.
That's why we have laws and a will to apply them. Anyone, Swiss or foreigner, who acts against the law should be punished.
I'm a right wing guy, and I won't tolerate any attempt to undermine my country. Don't take me for a whuss.

Anyway, with 20% of foreigners (number leads to error as it is induced to our extremly strict rules to obtain Swiss citizenship), my country has one of the smallest criminality rate in the world.
We have huge jewish and muslim communities yet I cannot remember a single challenge to direct democracy.

And if you think Europe is being invaded, you should try living in Texas. I went to the movies the other day in Houston. Of all the people I saw there, probably 75% were Mexicans. Turn on the radio in Houston and 5 of 8 FM stations are spanish language. I was working at a house when I overheard two Mexican air conditioner workers talking. The younger one (prob 17) was going on.. "yeah I tried to get this girl pregnant, that didn't work out so I tried getting this other girl pregnant.." etc. They knock up our women with their kids all the time then abandon them, so eventually some sappy responsible white guy comes along and marries the girl and takes the responsibility.
