Yes, you are the only one that believes that Killing them is a good thing. They deserve to die. Torturing them is even better. Could I torture them? Depends on the torture. Personally, I couldn't put a drill to there head and drill away without feeling wierd, but if someone else wanted to do it, I wouldn't stop them I could, however, inflict other kinds of torture that didn 't dosplay so much blood or guts or grotesqueness. Like I said though, hard, manual labor is the way to go. I think 80% of the population would go for that. It's not so inhumane, but at the same time it is vengeful and productive.

How about launching them up into space and then slowly let them enjoy the vacum of space. You can make sure they get nice and burn't on the way up and crushed a little bit. After being forced to eat a bit of pork and injected with pigs blood.

Now if these people hate western culture so much why do they like to live hear and enjoy the benifits. Now it's totally unpc to suggest that they piss off back to where they come from but I can't understand why they want to stay. Well I do it's too create trouble.

You're not.
If public execution by the utmost sadistic ways would serve any purpose but the feeling of being avenged I would say yes to it. But it won't, it won't stop it from happening again. What it will do is further martyr such people in the eyes of their brethren and toughen them in their cause.
You could find some terrorist group abducting western journalists or tourists, torture them in the same way their "martyrs" were and sending the videos to the media to create more panic.

What you could do is make sure such people would not set foot on US soil. Toughen the visa criteria, better investigte the past of people who apply for immigration in the US, stuff like that.
With "sympathetic" US citizens is more of a problem. Write a law that would give more rights to law enforcment to watch over them, though this has the potential of further turning the US in to a police state.

I don't know what to answer you.
I just feel that those are the areas where work should be done. Stop them from entering the country and watch after those from inside. How, I don't really know.

Maybe I should answer you with a question. Would public execution stop this from happening again ?

For every shot they fired, they should have a joint blown out with a hammer. When they run out of major joints they should switch to toes and fingers.

Once they are completely incapible of fighting back, put them in a room full of the spouses and parents of the people they killed and maimed, but pad them so they can't actually kill them. Once they are done, fill their wounds with magots and let them rot until they die.

Honestly, sending them to prison will give them far worse torture than anything I would dare think of. Can you imagine if they sent him to Ft. Leavenworth, since he is ex-military? Do you have any idea what they would do to him?

The fact that he converted to Islam is a red herring imho; He demanded a ransom of $10 million do not forget. The sniper is a cold blooded angry criminal, not a religious zealot bent on gaining martyrdom.

There is nothing in Islam about killing people and then blackmailing them for money. I would not be surprised if he even "converted" as a cover for his criminal acts - do not forget it was "less than a year ago" he conveniently switched. After 9-11, who knows how long he was planning this killing/blackmail spree.

As for punishment, I am in favor of putting them through the legal process. I am no vigilante, but I thing God will be a bit pissed off at them - would not want to see what He will do.

I am in total agreement with you. It's a nice coincidence but I'm sure that's all it is. Don't agree he converted to Islam as to cover his criminal act though. Sounds more like he was deeply troubled, switched faiths looking for direction and then snapped.
