I used to watch it when i could many years ago. But now that i have broadband, it has occurred to me that i can simply download them. Could anyone recommend a film? (for evaluation purpose obviously)

Umm... a "recent" film?
Well, lessee... depends on what genre you're looking for.
People talk all kinds of smack about Princess Mononucleosis... no wait, it's Princess Monononokonokokoboko... no wait... well ****, I can't pronounce it. But it has gorgeous animation. Too bad it's about pig demons and thinly disguised enviro-crap activism. Bleh. "Let's save the forest spirits! Mining kills mother earth and brings the demons of forest death upon us!" Bleh.
Ghost in the Shell was really good. I'm partial to Escaflowne and EVA in general, as well as their respective movies.

Princess Mononoke, great movie!
Ninja Scroll, this is by far one of the best anime!
Ah Megami Sama! (Oh My Goddes or Ah My Goddess in english) If you like sappy love stories.
Ghost in the Shell, wasn't too bad, I honestly didn't think it was great.Titanium is the new bling!

ninja scroll, very good! vampire hunter D and fist of the north star if you like older ones (80s), also the sequel to vampire d (vampire hunter d: bloodlust (2000 i believe)) is not bad. princess mononoke very nice, also check spirited away by the same director. metropolis is also not bad, the end (mostly because of the song) is great. ghost in the shell is of course excellent.no matrox, no matroxusers.Comment

Jammrock got me interested in the <I>Berserk</I> series. It's pretty good. The 4th edition of the series is just now out on DVD.Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Akira's decent, but it doesn't exactly hook me in.
