I stand corrected. But you were utterly wrong on the "on land" category.

Plus I'm sure there's a huge Dutch radio mast, which I think was (maybe still is) the tallest structure.

The CN is the tallest building, and I believe the Petronas Towers are the tallest buildings that ain't a purpose built, really tall, observation tower Previously World Trade Center towers.

No, just 100' from the house and uphill one way.....but thankfully it had a huge lilac bush right behind it

heroin was invented by the german company BAYER actually as an all purpose medicine (and especially used as a cough sedative for kids! ). here is an old ad:

                    no matrox, no matroxusers.

No it wasn't. Bayer made a lot of money off of it, but it was invented by the Englishman C.R. Wright in 1874, 21 years before Dreser started messing with it.

Probably at that time they just didn't understand it's addictive nature and the harmful side effects of it's misuse. Of course any medicine misused can have harmful side effects.

                              Nicotine?

If heroin had had the powerful lobby then that tobacco does now, and politicians were as amoral, half the population would be shooting up.
