That team (the THINK team) actually made three proposals.. the first one (not pictured) was kinda interesting.. three towers (the middle one higher a la flipping the bird ) and there was a huge "sky park" built up at different levels above the street.. the main part being 10 stories tall. That was pretty cool.. I still like the memorial garden approach though. And the towers in the Peterson/Littenberg proposal are tall and modern without being boring OR sci-fi-tastic. The buildings are there to serve people.. not the other way around.. and by the way, the original twin towers were about as boring as you could get.

Yeah my favorite is the Peterson/Littenberg one too. It looks good but not too fancy or futuristic. Though the United Architects one (in Doc's post) is pretty good; it would be my second choice. Don't like the THINK design (thop's post) at all. And yeah the original WTC was pretty plain and boring too, it was impressive because of its height.
