I'd say that it is crap, but that site seems rather thorough
The Welsh support two teams when it comes to rugby. Wales of course, and anyone else playing England

      BWAHAHAHAHA!

      *ahem*

If it were official Kansas Dept. of Revenue, it would have a *.ks.state.gov address.

It's a good idea though.. some pothead moron would probably fall for it and get caught.. or once they ARE caught, there you have it; another charge to level against them!

I think it's legit Gurm. Besides, TX does a lot of online services at www.txonline.com (it's not a .gov) that we have to support (such as renewing licenses, taxes, etc).

He doesn't. Once again, Gurm is convinced he's right, just because he's gurm. As is not too uncommon, he's very wrong.

Yes, that's a real Kansas site. Yes, they have drug tax stamps.

Dealers caught w/ drugs w/o stamps are:
                  1) Gotten on tax evasion
                  2) Required to pay DOUBLE damages for not paying the tax.

Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

My mind boggles at the thought.

You buy stamps... to put on illegal drugs.

You have to give your name and address in order to buy the stamps.

                    Let me see here... HUH?

                    1. It's entrapment.
                    2. I don't honestly believe it would stand up to a supreme court appeal. Because... it's entrapment.
                    3. It's illegal.

                    Let me draw a parallel.

I am the state of West Virginia. I have declared that raping 5 year olds is illegal. BUT, I'm going to sell "kiddy ****" stamps. If you're caught raping a 5-year-old, and that 5-year-old does NOT have a "kiddy ****" stamp on his or her forehead, you will be liable for TAX EVASION.

                    Umm... no.

You can claim up and down that it's real and legal. You can publish stories about it. But it ain't legal, by any stretch, whether Kansas (not the last bastion of intelligence and integrity in the country - sorry Jamm) wants it to be or not.

Somebody set us up the tax stamp! Me no uundrsahnd wat u meen Gurm! dat tax stamp ting make purfect since hear in Kansas!

                      [edit]
Oops, was saying something about wondering how much money they made, but that link of Wombats included that wonderfull little tidbit.
                      [/edit]

If you buy them in person you don't need to provide any ID, and the office is prohibited from sharing the fact that you purchased any. If I had money pouring out my ears I'd go buy some of those stamps just to see if a unmarked black car tails me when I drive home.

It's neither entrapment nor illegal. Jon can read, so you see how entrapment is avoided. It's not just Kansas either, it's about 1/5 of the states.
Your parallel sucks: you changed from goods to slave trade. You want a parallel? They got Capone on tax evasion, not on all the things he did that required the evasion.

Remember kids: When the world doesn't jive with Gurm, the world is wrong, because Gurm's the expert.

They got Capone on tax evasion by raiding his bank accounts - not by putting a "stamp tax" on an illegal activity.

I honestly don't think they've EVER prosecuted someone for this. I could be wrong, I know. But it would shock and utterly amaze me if they had ACTUALLY successfully prosecuted someone.

Remember, oral sex is illegal in 40 out of the 50 states. Sodomy (between ANY two individuals) is illegal in all 50. In most of the states on the east coast, it is technically illegal for two people to sleep in the same bed at a hotel or motel, married or not. (Hence the reason for two double beds in most rooms).

Lots of things are "illegal" and "prosecutable" or "taxable". But I would REALLY love to see a case and docket number for someone that has ACTUALLY been PROSECUTED under this law. They claim to have made millions of dollars. I'd like to see the books, because it's nuts. You can't tax an illegal activity. Not in the USA.

This has to do with contract law versus criminal law. Having/selling drugs is a criminal act. Tax is a contract. Never shall the two meet.

I guess it would too much work for you to actually look. http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansas...al/4921382.htm Indicted last month.
                              http://www.jointogether.org/sa/news/...556296,00.html Taxes collected.

http://www.judicial.state.ia.us/appe...11/01-1240.asp Convicted, although conviction overturned for other reasons.

So Gurm, anymore unfounded facts, oh blessed authority?

P.S. Sodomy is legal in most states, including Pennsylvania. Do you actually ever check <I>any</I> facts, or do you just make them up as they fit your argument?
