Opera has less bugs, 7.20 is way faster than anything I've used yet, and it displays all pages I visit without flaws

But you're right, I'm kind of a zealot

just try 7.20 when the final is out

Mozilla Firebird does the same to me. No problems at all - and it's free (and seems currently even smaller than Opera)....

Can you open 232 windows within seconds, with the browser not even getting slow?

xortam, the fix is not to allow control codes in the thread title in this case '/'. while with a lot of digging around I can probably stop and or modify vBB's new thread script to strip and/or stop users posting a title with certain combinations it IS a bug with IE.
(It already has that basic functionality and follows the standards - pity IE doesn't).

Yes it is a bug, yes it should be fixed, yes I have about a 1000 other bugs and or impending problems on my list that I need to get to first.

There is a new version of vBB due out/out that I need to swap over too, and every hack/fix I have installed needs to be migrated. including our whole front page system.

Remind me again after you see the vBB version number change from 2.x.x to 3.x.x

I am sorry and I feel your pain as I usually browse the forums in IE myself, but right now apart from the impending deadline with a job that pays my rent there are other bigger things with murc that I'll have to deal with real soon.

Thanks Dan ... don't sweat it. I just wasn't sure if you were implying that Brian had fixed the thread. I'm certainly not throwing a tantrum that every bug has to be immediately fixed. It turns out it was worthwhile bringing it to your attention as it is indeed a problem with the site (IE compatibility problem). Thanks for looking into it. I found a work around for it early on so its not that big a pain.

No sweat, just got me prior to coffee
All vbb's suffer this fate as far as I know.

see if its sorted in a later version of vBB - if not I'll see what I can tweak.
