Hello Nappe1
My main card is a Radeon and yes, I as well as many others on this forum will consider other cards on the market. However most of us agree that it must have very good 2d. Personally when I replace my Radeon I want it to be with a dual head card.I have a simple equation.
Piss Poor 2d = no buy

If BitBoys produces something as good as you say they will then I will consider it.

regards MD

my dad is looking to put together a new computer, since memory prices are so cheap. i've been planing on giving him my g400 when he gets the parts. i'll have to get something then(or get him a cheap $10 card untill something good comes our, as he doesn't care, but hopefully i'll converte him!)

yeah i'd get it. Ohh wait... maybe i'd wait and see about the drivers first!

Talking about bitboys check this out:
http://houseofhelp.com/articles/bitboys/

11) HoH : "3D, 3D, 3D." "More frame rate." "Improved 3D image quality." It seems that's all that gets mentioned online these days. What about 2D image quality? Can it get better? Should more time be spent working on that side of the technology? (We ask because a couple of us here are matrox h0es)
KL : What you are seeing is that good 2D performance is a given these days. Business users still depend on good 2D performance as so many of the machines that are being used are not the latest and greatest high-speed machines on the market and good 2D performance still makes a big difference. Even though it is more of a given for today's graphics controllers, it is still imperative to ensure that it is done right.

So he was not really answering the question. Read again: the question was specifically about 2D-quality and his answer only adresses 2D-performance.
