Folks, Ant has never said an announcement mid April. He said he was going to get official word from Matrox in that time frame. Big difference.

Also true, but that's what I was talking about
By asking about what happened my intentions was to find out if there r any kind of news on that subject, I didnt expect it to take place exactly on the 15th, but on the other hand the countdown did reach "0" point and what's more important than that?

Don't suppose you could shed any light on whether the first announcement - whether it be tomorrow or next 1/4 - will present just the chip by itself, or if the boards will start shipping that day as well??

And it ain't what you're going to get either.

This reminds me of the early days of the Video Toaster. It did so much more than anyone expected and it was correctly advertised as a pardigm shift in video editing. It was.

IMHO it's the same here. A LOT of card makers are going to be playing catch-up, and they're going to starting from WAY back.

I think it would be a total scream if they also sold a reduced feature version of the chipset for other makers to use, knocking NVIDIA off their high-horse.
