BBB, that has been repeatedly posted and each & everytime it's been it has been was smacked down as a total fake.
P5ycho... If you're refering to May 14th being the release date then your sadly mistaken... they haven't even allowed the Press release to take place yet. So wouldn't you suppose that's all it is possibly and not the point in time that one can purchase?
But if you're insisting, I hope you like Hat (it's like a bloody epidemic!)"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind." -- Dr. Seuss

So you're saying this is only going to be a chip-announcement mid-may with (in the Matrox usual fashion) a card announcement quite some time later and again some months later the final cards are actually available??
So we're going for a Q4 "real availiability" date? OMG, why are those at Matrox constantly so slow in getting the final hardware out? Do I smell G800 here? (again, even the G400Max was late when you look at the date you could really get one)
Remember NVidia has more than once reacted to possible threats from ATI in a very quick fashion and while 20GB/s sound spectacular now, it might not do so anymore in over half a year..
Exspecially considering that NVidia already has some knowledge in designing DualChannel DDR (NForce) they might be able to release an updated GF4core with Dual channel DDR in a reasonably short time thus pushing their bandwidth to 22.4GB/s (at a possible 350MHz clocking).Last edited by Indiana; 28 April 2002, 09:19.

Oh that's why nV decided to can the NV25 and push the NV30's development... not to mention that's not as timely todo because they haven't had the time to prepare for such.
Not to mention that technically they're a generation behind... Oh wait, maybe they'll try pulling another corporate raid to hasten things up... just like they did to Matrox, 3dfx and SGI... oh yeah sure their genius will pull it out again...
Especially with the corporate motto... "if we can't, we'll just thieve it"

you can bet that nvidia does know more than we and probably also more than those who know sth. here.
so if parhelia really is so good like everyone thinks it is than nvidia has their engineers working 24/7 to release their next card faster or at least some improved version of the GF4 so that their marketroids have at least sth. in their hands.
Greebe, if that is right what you are saying and 14th (or later) will be the chip announcement with real cards on real shelves probably a month or two or three later than i am not happy
i hope matrox will at least get the card out before UT2003, if not they are missing a great chance because people with pre-GF3 cards will probably upgrade.
edit: thousands of typos and nvidia/matrox/maxtor stuffpls read again.

What to do at 12:00 AM on the 16th...
Decisions, decisions....
Catch the 12:00 Midnight showing of "Attack of the Clones", or sit in front of the computer hitting the "Refresh" button at 12:00 midnight expecting sites to spill the guts on Parhelia.
Either way, I'm a hopeless geek!If a bear shits in the woods, and no one is there to smell it, does it stink?

If what has been said you actually don't have to choose since the NDA ceases on the 14th of may (as was between the lines confirmed by Ant in another thread) and you should be seeing something by that time... Possibly even earlier through some leak
