Wasn't Doom 3 designed basically around nVidia chips just because of their massive market share when it comes to gamers rigs? If not, subtract one from the "nVidia" votes

                      Matrox Linux support? What's that?
Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?

Hmm as my mind wanders does anyone remember an early release of the original DOOM that had support for 4 monitors I think it was. Front, left, right and behind views, or was that just front, left and right. Kind of neat but I don't think anything could actually run it at the time and they removed it in later releases.

Maybe they needed to wait for more powerful GFX cards before it would work well enough.

I wonder where someone might find such a card if they needed it soon™?
