I was a forum lurker for several months before finally getting sucked into the hype of the original G800 rumours. So my "Registered: Sept 2000" details aren't quite accurate, but then again, whose are?

Actually now that I think about it, I think I started visiting here shortly after getting my G400, which was Jan 2000. It's been a while since my last upgrade. Might be time for another upgrade Soon™.

I found the site after finding G200.com (now a porn site ) in late 1998. I didnt really get into the site till I heard about the G400 rumors in early 99. been here ever since then though I've been matrox free @ home since decemeber 2000.

Well i registered the first time on 13th November 1999(Voyager4D), it must have been when i got my G400 32Mb DH.

I came back when all the G800 rumours startet to emerge.
And of course then came G550...

A couple of months ago i gave up on my G400 and bought a GeForce 3 Ti200.. But in fact i can't see that much improvment, because i havn't upgradet the rest of my system yet..

And the last couple of months i have followed the diskussion very close. And at laste it looks like we are getting what we all have been wating for..
              The G400's real successer.. Yesss...

                I can't believe it's been this long.....

I was here before the G200.

I was here when the forums were started by What'shisnuts Strongaxe...

I came here via desktop video after discovering that the Avid Cinema bundled with my shiny new Marvel G200, didn't actually work properly with my shiny new Marvel G200, I still have the Marvel, but ditched Avid pronto.

                    I am boring

I can't remember how I got here. I think it was off matrox's home page soon after I brought my G400.

I consider my G400 as my first REAL video card. It performed the 3d features of modern cards, and was a lot faster at both 2d and 3d than my older Intel i740 card. Great 2d output was a bonus.

I have been a lurker mostly, and stubbon irritation at other times . It took almost 2 years for me to get beyond mini-Murcer.

The first incarnation of the MURC went online sometime around October 1995 as far as I remember, just after I acquired my original Millennium.

Gawd....no idea. Probably just before the old Rainbow Runner Users Group (RRUG) page went down.

How's that for a blast from the past?

I wish I could say. I've been a Matrox card user since before this silly 'G' naming convention I hear is going away.

I don't post here much but I have been lurking here for many, many years.

                            Unrelated comment:

This is just too perfect not to mention. So I'm still a proud user of a G400Max at work, dual monitors and all. But at home dabblings with OpenGL forced me to put a GeForce2 in my system. Well, just a few weeks ago the fan on the card started to die. It's still limping along, but it won't be long now. So it looks like I might be in the market for a new graphics card and I need it Soon.

Anyone know of any upcoming cards I should look into?

I put down three years... but in reality I think its closer to 5...

I started coming here right after I bought my first computer and immediately ditched the I740 Card that came with it and replaced it with the then new G200 Mystique + add on mem module.

                              Those were the days...

I used to play with my PINS so much that it turned me blind

MURC, 1995?, Has it been that long? Seems like just yesterday, scanning through the mail reading posts from Boz, NTB, and Robert Schlabach (who I believe moved to the nVidia trenches around the time of the Riva128. I still have my original Millenium with the infamous XL-MPEG still image capture add-on, waiting patiently for Windows XP support
