Re: So Who's Gonna Buy Triple LCD's and Where Can You Get Em??

I will only need another Samsung 240T or Samsung 241MP to pair up with my existing Samsung 240T. (Just need the independent dual head feature for work ala lightwave. 2 monitors for those flight sims - 1 front view, 1 rear view. )

....ok, back to work, back to work, got to clock those OTs to pay for the Parhelia and the Samsung...

Lucky me I'm already running a 21 anda 19 at home. I have space for another 19 so I'll just get a decent Viewsonic or something and that will keep me mighty happy.

Of course, I could be ambitious and take the 24" at work home for some real nirvana

Well I have thought about wall mounting 3 seperate LCDs....only prob is that I would have to run them in analog mode.

That and I doubt I'd have the dinero for 3 LCDs either. (double )

Just one question back to topic: using 3 CRTs, wouldn't that generate annoying interference (lines going up/down) ? I currently have this problem with my 17" and my cheap 14" next to each other (doesn't matter in which refresh rate I put them)...

                      Tri-head setup

                      Check out http://www.panoramtech.com/products/pv230.html

I think that will work better with the P-512 than the 9X Media systems.

You are not confirming my interference-question... are you ?

Why is that (I don't see that big a difference...) ? The 9X Media is currently bundled with Matroxcards...

The reason I said that I thought they would work better is because of the connections for it. Check that out as compared to the types of outputs for the P-512.

Well, the Parhelia cannot do 3xDVI, so it either will have to be 2xDVI + 1 analog, or 1 DVI + 2x analog...

Am I misinterpreting the specs of the 9Xmedia in that it is not possible ?
(there is a statement: "Inputs - as computing develops, more and more users are incorporating video into their systems. 9X Media proudly features a full selection of inputs including: analog, DVI digital, S-Video, and composite video in select X-Top multiple monitor display systems.")

I think the operative word there is "cheap".

Yes, most likely (which is why I mentioned it).

But it this means that for a surround gaming to provide good quality, no cheap components ought to be used... (which makes a surround-gaming setup inherently expensive)
