    Fuzzy talk from ATI.

    DVI != component.

    Converters cost $$$$$, & are not so readily available.

    Say something Matrox.
    Needs a new vid card. Can't wait much longer.

      If you look into ATIs whitepaper for the Radeon, it clearly states that the RageTheater chip can do component-out.

      And as I understand it, this is NOT an external converter to convert a normal DVI signal to component, but a real component output.

      Radeon&trade also features the highest quality method available to deliver output to a HDTV monitor by supporting direct output of component video.
      It's just that they haven't released the dongle up to now. Well, that's ATI...

        Well Component Vid out would be a great feature for those of us who work in the Film/Video Editing arena.... I alread love matrox for what they have already done (dual head) and for their next step (triple head) but if they do add in the component out .... well i would love them for ever (not that i dont already do)....
