G400 actually had a secondary RAMDAC at 135MHz. All Matrox DH boards use a second RAMDAC.
Strange.. Matrox used to say the big difference between G400 and G450 was that there was a RamDAC in G450 and that was why secondary output was so much cleaner on G450.
Now maybe i was wrong.. then I apologies for my mistake.

not that i recall. the main difference is that the G400 had 300MHz and 135MHz RAMDACs (or 360MHz primary for the MAX), while G450/G550 have 360MHz and 230MHz RAMDACs.

Well, I guess you're right. After all how can you output without a ramdac?
