I don't know... But I think I would be better of meeting her on a date with just the two of us (no other parties involved). I noticed last time that the conversation often went into directions I couldn't participate in. I can imagine it doesn't leave too good an impression when the date just sits there. A tête-Ã*-tête could of course yield ackward silences, but that is a risk I'm willing to take.
No point in forcing things (as that might lead to bad/wrong choices).
I am looking forward to July though: that girl is also in IT, and also working on a phd. We met at a conference in Prague, she urged me to send something in for a conference in July in Paris - it was the fastest paper I ever wrote: 4 days for an 8 page paper that was accepted without much negative comment . I have much more in common with her than any other girl I met. But she is on a tight schedule with her phd (so am I at the moment) and this combined with the distance is a problem.
