It doesn't matter if the battery's good. LiIon batteries go dead after a few years, whether used or not. Do a google on relevant keywords at site:www.dansdata.com
I know they go dead in time, I was curious if 3 months was for the thinkpad itself. As I was trying to say, thinkpads, PDAs and notebooks usually have a minimum 12 month warranty requiered by law, as do any other pc components.
Technically even cheap keyboards and coolers should have 12 months and that was a great headache for many PC shops
Restored system test ( a link followed while searching for pic for New MURC Game had an undesirable, unrecoverable, result )
That was a malware test I never wish to experience again ( it was the first and hopefully the last time, that happens to me )
It was also a reminder to ghost my system more frequently ( seems I got lazy after last October )( just glad I backup all the important documents and stuff, automatically, daily )
