U.S. Expels Two Members of Iraq's U.N. Mission

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - The United States expelled two members of Iraq (news - web sites)'s mission and told them to get out of the country within 72 hours for activities "harmful to the United States," a U.S. source said on Wednesday.


The two were described as diplomats, but Iraq's U.N. ambassador, Mohammed Aldouri, said the they were security guards.


The men were identified as Nazih Abdullatif Rahman and Yehia Suaoud and were accused of activities outside of their official duties, a term that usually but not always indicates spying.

Just saw on TV that they will vote against any ultimatems to Iraq. They think that so long as Saddam keeps showing "signs of cooperation" that it's good enough.

So basically as far as they're concerned, every time they get really pissed, he just has to produce a couple missles and destroy them.

Apparently they don't care that he continues to lie callously to the rest of the world. Silly little Frenchies.

rench would leak this info becuase they have interests that makes loads of dosh.
Remember dosh and political interests make the world go round.
Thats why we sold a load of arms to a certain country to beat up another nasty guy.

Yup. Difference is we admit to selling Saddam weapons back when, and the French deny having a vested interest in Iraqi oil concerns.

In fact, I'm pretty sure they never officially admitted to leaking inspection info, but it's pretty well documented. Doc has a link I'm sure.
