Semi-recently-ish the Swedes got the award for the best educated students...apparently they were able to find all the countries asked for on a globe while many other countries were unable to do as many if any at all...

    ACHOO! yes I have sneezed...

What made it worse was that it took almost 3 hours to replace the damned thing. In most American cars the fan motor is mouted on the motor side of the firewall and takes about 10 minutes to replace....after about 10 years of use.

That's a misconception(sp?), we don't have any arcticbears walking our streets. The wheather in southern Sweden where 90% of the population lives (Stockholm and south) is very "british-like" actually. Still not good, but acceptable...

            Yes, swedes are smart alright.
Apart from obvious highlights like the propeller, automatic lighthouses, ball bearings, C E Johanssons industrial measuring system (mått-Johans passbitar in swedish) and the adjustable wrench - things like computer colour graphics and the mouse are swedish inventions.

After having lived with several Audis for 15 years I now have a Volvo and a Saab 9-5. And the Oscar goes to...
SAAB. It´s just the way to tour.

That is very true, the JAS 39 Gripen is much more advanced than the F16.

But then again I don't like that the government sell weaponry to other countries, while at same time they try to be extremely pro peace. Well, well, you can't have everything, they make great profit on fighters I guess...

Keep in mind BTW that Ford only owns 50% of Volvo cars, and that GM only owns the car making section of Saab.

One more thing, the Saab 9-5 is a damn good car.

I may be exaggerating, but not by much. Air conditioners were a "dealer add-in" for Volvos until the early 90's. Volvo America forced the Swedish design engineers to go for a ride in a 740 with a dealer-added A/C through Death Valley.

They quickly designed a real system.

                    I have spoken.

I think that Saab was the first production car to have a turbo fitted with the saab 900...

Wasn't Saab the first to use the double-delta wing design on an airplane (thought I saw a documentary on that) ?

By the way, Saab cars are becoming increasingly more popular here in Belgium (one of the few makes that actually has better sales over the last year).

(I like the Saab models.... ).

I have no original "I have ..."-line.

And Saabs are... ok. They're just weird, and the 93 (formerly known as the 900) seems to go horribly wrong at exactly 8 years of age, but they do seem to live forever if you can get them beyond that point.
Saab was taken over by GM in 1990. And their cars may be weird but I like my Saab 9000 exactly the way it is - and I'd NEVER trade it in for a Volkswagen or a Ford...

I think they were talking about a blower motor, not the motor of the car.
