Well from what I understand...the F-16 is fourth Gen...5th gen is the F-22/F-35, Eurofigther etc etc.

Also there was an article in the Simthsonain Air and Space mag back about 10 years ago about the Japanese Zero...it seems that it was Based on the P-35 fighter, with all the armor removed on it.

oh yea. Typhoon is not 4th. F15/F18 is i think.

F-35... STOVL... saw a clip of F-35B (navy) doing STOVL some time ago... looks promising!

It's a well-built aircraft. Probably the best aircarft used in military today. (F22 doesn't count. Its still being tested)

It's has extremly good agility (9+ G Limit allows it to point at 90 degrees up and then down like 120 degrees within ~1 secound ). Crazy manoeuvrability. Interesting technology also... like voice command. I think it can target like 7 (or 9 or something else) objects at the same time! The thrust combined by the two engines... OMG... like 40000lb afterburn... lol...

It can probably take out F15 anytime... but F22, will be a very close race...

Oh yea... people say J-10 is a copy of Lavi/F16. Its does. But IMO it even looks like a Eurofighter...

A body that looks like F16/Lavi. The front small wings from the Lavi/Eurofighter. Belly intake from the LAVI/Eurofighter. Delta wing from the Eurofighter. A head that looks like an Su30... lol

From the Eurofighter webpage...wont be reaching operational status till 2005

The first F-22 operational squadron starts to form September 2004 to August 2005.

There has been alot of dealings with the Israeli Defense industries and China, pissing off the US since they are using Israel as a back-door to get US mil tech.

Nothing unusual. Just some old large caliber guns firing off of the deck of one of our little boats. These things can launch something around the mass of a Volkswagen a few miles, and accurately place it within a few feet.
