The other fun hint to the sequel is that when Mystique is on the computer, there's a "Project Wideawake" folder

Actually, only comic and cartoon viewers will know what's going on. But usually everyone else has friends who are anyway who goes with them. So yeah. Most people should know.

Hey dont mean to be picky.... but when was the last time you raised the bar for CGI?
Nothing personal here, but that's just a dumb argument. Gurm has valid reason to complain. And to be honest, most of the stuff you complain about (Operating Systems? Politics? Video games? need I go on?), I'm guessing you haven't raised the bar on either.
I think the hulk looks great especially int he latest trailer.. and none of us can really comment until weve seen the finished film.. if im wrong.. ill eat the fluff from my old mouse ball
Well, I can't argue much with that since it's personal opinion, however I'd bet that the general conscensus on how the Hulk's CGI compares to the CGI on other movies is not in the Hulk's favor.
Oh, c'mon. I'm sure saying "Dark Phoenix" doesn't mean Jack Diddly Squick to most people here.

Nope, but i dont comment that much either... again my point was just to state my personal opinion and to say it unfair to label ILM talentless....
I see it pointless to judge a movie and its effects on brief glimpses in a 2.30 trailer... but again.. my opinion.. guess only time will tell.. now can we all chill out and go see x2 again

Not talentless. However, lately everything ILM has turned out is a bit cartoony compared to, say, WETA.
Take Yoda. C'mon. He's a badass, and we all love him, but he gets squishier and squishier every time we see him on the screen. SOME of the aliens in Episode 2 just looked painted in, as opposed to being part of the environment.
I just think that ILM has lagged behind the times with the "scene integration" aspects. Their CGI is as good as (maybe better than) WETA's, but doesn't blend in as well.

But I wasn't commenting on the fact that they were called talentless...I was commenting on something you posted before that was even mentioned. Just your "don't complain unless you've raised the bar" argument. That's all.

2.5 mins is more than enough time to judge special effects. By then it should be obvious.
Gurm is absolutely right (though the Joda fight scene in Episode 2 is the only one which would make me watch it again ). Joda doesn't look as convincing as in the old movies, and especially that fat bar alien (who gives them the hint where to look) looked absolutely unrealistic! The fabric of his clothes waved in a "computery" manner, and it was so obvious that he didn't really embrace that jedi knight guy... I always thought this was Lucas's fault, because I thought he was kind of stuck in the past wrt computer effects (shouting "Oh look! It's animated! how realistic!" when watching Hercules on TV).
