Hmm, Let me know when, and I will buy you a drink. Everything just looks better with a chicken.

C'mon Liz, keep a stiff (but beautiful) upper lip.

You will find happiness when you least expect it.
One day you will turn a corner, the same corner you always pass by, but this time you bump into a handsome Italian guy , who sweeps you off your feet and takes you away to Paris for 2 weeks of fun, sun and romance.

Hey you can still dream can't you??

Maybe we should have a Cheer up Liz party sometime
Yup, I think I'm the perfect example of how quick your life can turn around. I was more depressed in February of this year than I've ever been in my life. I honestly was wondering if I could go on, if I could ever be happy again. It was pretty rough.

Now, just three short months later, I'm on top of the world. I'm dating a wonderful girl, I'm having more fun than I've ever had, everything is just perfect. We've only been officially dating for 2 weeks, but it feels like we've been together forever already. It's absolutely amazing. This is the first time I've turned a close friendship into a relationship, and I think that is definitely the best way to go. We already knew that our senses of humour were compatible, and that's really one of the biggest stumbling blocks in a lot of relationships.

I've only been in two serious relationships before, and both of them were basically "fix-ups", where I didn't really know the person before we started dating. You just can't know enough about a person from such a short introduction. Sometimes people get lucky, but too often you find out things later that would've kept you away in the first place.

Anyway, I know how hard it is to go through what you're going through, but the feeling won't last forever. You will find someone else who will make you happy again. It's just a matter of time. Love is a strange thing. Kind of like that old saying about the butterfly. I don't remember how it goes, and it's very cheezy, but it's true. Something like "If you chase after it, it'll always get away, but if you ignore it, it'll come and land right in your lap."

In the mean time, spend time with friends and/or family. Have some fun. Do something crazy. Just remember, we all love ya!
Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. Bastard coated bastards with bastard filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive, bubble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine. -- Dr. Perry Cox

Lizzie, you are too young to worry about relationships anyway.. Trust me when i say i went through some tough times... yet i met this girl who was very cheerful and outgoing who went through life in very difficult circumstances.. orphaned at a young age (8 or 9 i think) her relatives did not bother to look after her, her neighbour was very kind enough to take her in, now she is doing well. I may be only a few years older than you but i would advise on having a lot of friends (ppl here counts a lot of course ) than relationships. A friend will always be around. Just dont rush into relationships. Me, I would always try to be just good friends for at least a year for by then you would know the person enough to decide. If not you still have the person as a friend.

And for a good looking girl like you, there should be no end of suitors and just look at how many people posting to show their love for you even though you barely said anything.

Atta gal, why worry about anything? If you feel your hands are itching, just ask someone here to setup a server and blast everyone you see in UT
Life is a bed of roses. Everyone else sees the roses, you are the one being gored by the thorns.

Just realise this: you're not the only one this happens to. People survive all the time, and time heals.

Don't really want to say much more, but let's just say I understand what you're feeling at the moment...

                          Hey Liz...

I know how how feel... There isn't much I can say to cheer you up. Knowing that other people feel bad or even worse doesn't help, perhaps even on the contrary. The advice of spoiling yourself seems solid, but after a while it gets boring; as the one thing you long for is still missing (+ it gets expensive ).

Try not to focus to much on happy-end romantic movies, that is just Hollywood (the problem is that there are so many such movies that one starts to wish reality was like that). Despite having the feeling that all people around you seem to walk in couples, don't let it get you down, and certainly don't lock yourself up at home. If you want to go out, go out; if you want to see a movie, go for it; if you want to travel, do so... At first it is hard (I know, I've travelled to several places alone, often have diner by myself, ...), but one has to make the best of it, after all, this situation isn't going to last. You have to convince yourself of that (even though it is hard).

Things will get better (they have to)...

Hmm the heart is a muscle-like organ so it will heal and become tougher for each wear and tear...

A couple of heart breaks should make your heart so strong that you might be breaking other peoples' hearts
