Sorry, should be a 1966 Caprice...

That's what will happen to you in the next 10 years... You lose track of what decade you're talking about.

First car I ever drove was a 1954 Chevy (210?). One day my father left me alone in the car (I was 5 or 6) in a parking lot for a minute, and while he was gone I pressed the brake and it went to the floorboard - split the brake line. He was really happy that happened when the car was motionless... I was too, but I didn't know it at the time.

      GT98,

I'm confused. There exists a focus that's 95% of the car a Mustang is?

        Gurm,

Mustangs are overrated. They are built off a platform thats nearly 30 years old and have crappy (egonomic wise) interiors in them. My SVT Focus fills My needs better then the Mustang I had before it, all except in the insurance dept, which I'll blame the great state of NJ for. The SVT Focus (IMO) performs @ 90% of the Performance that the Mustang I had before for everyday driving to work. Plus add the Focus Interior is worlds better for fitting my 6'2 frame into, and thats another big point in my book. I barely fit into my Mustang I had before, with the seat all the way back and the seat back reclined a bit, making the backseat behind me useless.

I'm not totally trashing the Mustang...would make a great second or third car, but I dont have the cash for that right now
Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?

1991 Isuzu Impulse - 1.6L 128HP. Amazing handling, but a fricken forture to fix. Traded it when the front struts died, and they wanted $600 to replace them.

1998 Mazda Protege - 1.8L 122HP. Great little car, leased it for two years.

2000 Mazda Protege - 1.8L 125HP. Even better little car. I even fit well in it, at 6'6" 225lbs. I miss it. Excellent handling, decent power, great fuel economy. Great transmission too, with short throws and a nice clutch. This one was a three year lease.

1998 Honda Accord - 2.3L 150HP. Bought this one used, with about 88,000 kms on it. Very quiet and smooth, but boring. Handles like a buick. Shoulda got a Protege5. Damn. Anyway, I'm planning on hanging on to this one until I move back into the city.

I also have a 1983 Honda Nighthawk 650. It's currently rotting in my driveway. Insurance is too expensive, and it needs quite a few repairs. I just can't justify putting a bunch of money into repairing it. Maybe I'll sell it as a fixer-upper

Although mine was blue in colour.. NFL 581R was the Rego.

Also ..Got into Speedway at this time so ....I bought my first speedway bike .. A Jawa 2 valve...

Upgrading to a longtrack Weslake (Cant find a piccie)

When I turned 17 all my mates got 250cc bikes but I needed to get my Speedway bike to tracks (My dad hated bikes so I had to do "All that" by myself)

My first car ..... Hillman Hunter 1725 ... promptly blew the engine up, (as you do) so a 1725 GT & Gearbox was bought from the local scrappy. (Those were the days)

Then.... Believe it or not a Reliant Regal !!

My mates were all riding around on the "Three Chickens" So, finally I relented and bought a KawasaKi KH250 (Rego XTL 292S)

Followed by four 3 litre capris in succession.. (They were all crap!!)
I then went and bought a Vauxhall Ventora

            A vauxhall Astra
            A MkII 1600 Capri
            A MkIII 3000s Capri
A wanked Vauxhall Astra estate ( Got married)
            Ford Orion ... (Got nicked)
A Mpi Proton ...still running to this day (103K miles.) Just spent the weekend hacking the back Parcel shelf bulkhead to install some "Hunka Thumpa" Sony Xplod speakers to go with same Mp3 cd player.

              Motorcycle (1985-1987): Honda Trail 90

First Car (1987): 1984 Mercury Capri Black Magic (Mustang T-Top)...that car got me laid quite a bit. Wrecked it.

Second Car (1989): 1972 Chevy Nova 350. Sold it - (Ugly Green)

Second Motorcycle (1990): 1989 Yamaha YSR50, Playbike for racing at go-kart tracks.

Third Car (1990): 1980 Ford Mustand 2.3L. Sold it - Way Underpowered.

Fourth Car (1991) 1973 Datsun B610 Pickup 2.1 Liter - Nice Pickup...drive all over the U.S. with it and it never stranded me once. Sold it.

Fifth Car (1993) 1973 VW Vanagon 1.8 Liter - Great little van...sure-footed in the snow, but underpowered. No HEAT. Sold it.

Third Motorcycle (1994): 1985 Yamaha RZ350, Toomey pipes, flatslide carburetors...fun ride. Sold it.

Sixth Car (1994): 1987 Ford Aerostar 3.0 Liter - Hey, I've got a family now. Decent little van. Lots of cross country miles on it. No legroom. Still have it.

Seventh Car (2002): 1996 Mercury Villager. Love this van...a little sluggish when in power saver mode, but very sure-footed and has GREAT ergomonics. Low ride height makes getting my kids into and out of it quite easy. Prolly will purchase a brand new one sometime soon.

Firstly, what I learnt to drive in (because that's more interesting):

                      1) A Daihatsu Fourtrack Van.
                      2) A Fendt 370 GTA Tractor .

And My first car was/is an F-reg Red Fiat Panda 1100cc. It now sits in a barn at the farm gently rotting away - last time I checked the brakes had seized . Really must get it out of the way and into the scrapyard one of these days...

But now I work/live in London a car would be a liability. So I'm Mr Public Transport, or walk.

Uh first car? 72 Buick LaSabre. Was the size of a city block, and could fit 8 people in the trunk comfortably. had a 454 V8 and consumed more gas than I could afford.
Went from that to a 84' Pontiac Fiero, then a 92' Mustang 5.0lx and to now a 2002 Explorer.
