No, never really had a prob with it, until it hit 140,000 miles, then it would not pass emissions. Still ran great though.

        -1985 Mercury Grand Marquis (POS!)
-1996 Nissan Frontier XE pickup. Not very fun, but it was pretty damn reliable.
        -2001 Mazda Protege MP3

Gurm: I'm not a focus fan at all, but GT98 does have a point. A new Mustang GT runs 14.9 in the 1/4 mile bone stock. The Focus SVT runs mid 15's. It's not that far off in straight line accelleration, and it handles better as well.

Well lets dig an oldie out of the mists of time.

It's now 6 years later and I've just bought my daughter her first car

I've still got the Proton. It's now done 133K on original exhaust/clutch etc.

Daughters got a better car than me

                            :-(

Oh and cars I almost bought but didn't work out...

                              1-mid 80's Lamborghini Jalpa, the price was a bit much...approx $35,000, and couldn't find a clean car.
2-1987 Lotus Turbo Esprit, couldn't fit in the damn thing otherwise it would have been sold to me.

Holy shit old posting, the Focus turned out to be a MAJOR POS and was replaced by a 06 Mustang GT Which has been trouble free after 3 years and just over 60K miles.
Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?
