When you were 22, I was already 40 Thinking back to 1954, I had no chance to be wild: the year started in hospital with pericarditis and ended up working in Cambridge (UK) as a very serious engineer. As I get vertigo if I stand on a thick carpet, I didn't do anything mad until I was 27, when I got married (I still am, to the same wife, so she must have chosen me well!)

Well, 22 was 3 years ago and I'd say I'm still careless.

Didn't set any height records. But I've driven @ ~100MPh / 160Km/h through the city and did manny other stupid things.

Had sex with the best friend of my girlfriend and didn't use a condom... she got pregnant... she had a natural abortion just a week before we had to go to the abortion clinic. My girlfriend never knew about this. But now that she left me I'm tempted to tell her

          ciao, Ivan

I drove on a freeway at over 170 mph in a doctor friends Ferrari 365GTB4 Daytona when I was a young'un, and faster than that when I was racing.

                  hmm when I was 22....

How about bonnet skying, you take an old car bonnet and tie it to the back of a car.
Then you then get on the bonnet and somebody in the car drives around do donuts etc and see if you can get to fall off.

A lot of fun, but since its usual on dirt track's you get a mouthfull of sand...becuase you are smiling so much you forget to close your mouth

Bonnets must be changed regularly becasue they wear through, and some bonnets dig wich has interesting results...

"bonnet" = "hood" in American?..you know the bit that covers the engine..

                    We used trunk lids.

A winter version is to tie a plastic trash can lid to a rope that's attached to the back of a snowmobile. Take it out on a frozen body of water, sit on the lid, grab on tight and tell the driver of the snowmobile to let 'er rip!!

How about "riding the rails"; meaning you take all but a few PSI of air out of a cars tires then put it on the railroad tracks. Next start the engine, put it in gear & let it cruise on while you guzzle beer and watch for oncoming trains

Wow, Doc, I was -1 in 1972. At 22? I had been married going on 6 years, and had 2 kids., I call that fairly stupid. But, here 8 years, +1 kid, -1 wife later, things are much better.

I can't believe you dared to hang over that tower!?!

Believe it. That was one of our moderate exploits.

There is no fear of heights in this gene pool and a bit of the daredevil gene to boot. This drives the wife nuts as she sees kid after kid "going for it" as well.

The latest is 5 year old Erik who wants desperately to climb the 40' ash next to the house. When he asked her how old he had to be to try she told him at least 35
