I had no UPS or any backup power, so I could not power on my router to check if my DSL was ever down during the blackout. It was up after the power came back the next day. I remember some guy who did have a UPS though, said that his Verizon ADSL service was up during the entire blackout.
My rogers cable connection was back up friday morning as soon as I woke up. The power came back around 5am, and the net connection was up at least by 8am, possibly sooner. I was quite pleased.
Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. Bastard coated bastards with bastard filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive, bubble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine. -- Dr. Perry Cox
