I have not seen the new this morning. Was this believed to be a random attack or premeditated in some way?

      No one knows.

Sadly I'm starting to see some similarities with the murder of Olof Palme in 86, that is that they may never find the murderer.

I was really looking forward towards HL2 and AMD64 this month...but now everything else than the murder feels so pointless.

True, but life has to go on.

Be sure to go vote on sunday, don't let the violence take over. It may sound a bit dramatic but I can't find a better way to put it.

It is a sad day for Sweden and a sad day for the EU.
The life of a human being was brutally ended.
A politician can be replaced with another one, but a mother for two little boys never comes back. It is really sorrowful.

Damn Security Service, no body guards were there.

Yes, the life has to go on.
I’ll go to vote on Sunday and I didn’t change my mind about the EMU…

I read about this in today's New York Times, and the article stressed how painful this was for the people of Sweden. My condolences.

What makes it even more painfull is the fact that she was respected and loved by most swedes no matter which political opinion they have. This is a great loss indeed.

But the sad thing is that if a majority of the people vote an aye to the euro, it will always be questioned if that would be the case if she hadn't been murdered.
