  • Any one in Hurricane Isibella's path?

I know it will hit Toronto by Friday!

Never experienced a Hurricane before, living here in Canada Hurricanes generally weaken by the time it reaches us.

So if you are in Isibella's path I wish you good luck, may it have little to no impact on you.

    Regards,
    Elie

I am planning to go camping this weekend, outside of Belleville Ontario..I really hope it calms down by the time it hits Ontario!.
Luckily there is a cottage there too, which I hope we don't need, but if everyone gets stuck inside drinking all night, it will be OK

lol@Elie. Well, have to do some preparations before the store comes!!!!

Get ready to buy duct tape and starte rolling them onto windows. Quote: DUCT TAPE WILL FIX EVERYTHING

I have only experience typhoon before, and that's in Hong Kong. There are lots of typhoons every summer there... and they gets really ugly all the time. However, because Taiwan is a bit "in front of" of Hong Kong, the storms usually strikes Taiwan first, kill a few people, and then gets redirected. Because there are lots of hills in Hong Kong, there are always maintaince for them in order to prevent them from collasping if a strong typhoon strikes.

      Fortunately Toronto is perfectly flat

Nothing here yet. Today was a very beautiful sunny pleasent day actually. I was amazed that in a short 36-48 hours this place will be the complete opposite. Anyhow, best of luck to everyone in the path of Isabella, and hopefully she goes down in speed before landfall.

Where I'm at in Jersey we are supposed to get hit by the eastern half of the storm when it makes landfall...calling for 50mph + winds and lots of rain.
Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?

according it Welsh press, it is just as likley to turn arround and hit here.
The Welsh support two teams when it comes to rugby. Wales of course, and anyone else playing England

By the time it gets up to canada it'll just be some heavy rain with 20-30mph gusty winds.

That's just the edge of the storm. A hurricane is considered to have touched down when the eye/center touches ground.
