I got out of repairing PCs as a part-time job as people just dont understand things like updating anti-virus/windowsupdate and defragging regularly. When they get virus as above, i get this "but i have norton installed by YOU", as they convieniently forgot my advice to update their system once in a while.

Bibble, it is a good line to work in, if you spell out everything before you touch anything, and mention that you will need to paid for every visit you need to make and you dont take phone calls or charge that as well However, do a clean fast and a good job, i normally explain why and what i am doing and why u think it got spoilt. People dont mind paying you as they will be comfortable knowing you are not cheating them. You do get one or two customers like above. I just put them in a list of people to avoid.

Best wishes for your business venture

Lots of customers don't seem to get that a antivirus program is only as efective as it's definition files are new

And they make up numerous reasons to why they don't update
