  • On Line shopping some companies don't get it

    Companies should do the following.

    1) Realtime stock updates.

    2) If theres a problem with the credit details inform the buyer asap via email.

    3) Keep the buyer informed by email of the progress of the ordered item.

    4) Make next day delivery is next day 99% of companies don't do this. Refund the customer if they can't deliver this.

    What they shouldn't do

    1) Advertise stock they haven't got.

    2) Sit on failed credit card transactions.

    3) Fail to inform the buyer of any delays.

I'm saying this becuase I ordered a replacement motherboard Monday night and chose express delivery. The item was listed in stock 100 of the blighters. Therefore since the company promises a max of two days delivery I should have had the parcel yesterday. The site also claims that if theres a delay email will tell you the progress. I checked the online progress it just says order confirmed as did my email Monday night. I rang them up today to be told that it had just arrived and was being shipped and would arrive Monday. I still haven't had an email to confirm this. Normally this company is very good so hopefully it's a one off but sadly this sort of shabby online dealing is common occurance.

Yeah. I REALLY hate ordering something overnighted only to discover it takes them 3 days to ship it.

Well this time it was Komplett.co.uk however others than have also failed in similar manner.

Overclockers.co.uk 99% of the time can't deliver inside the time set. Although this week for the first time they did manage the next day delivery. Sadly becuase of Komplett it didn't matter.

Scan.co.uk, Simply, Dabs.com, Overclock.co.uk have displayed similar traits.

The other main problem is that Sheffield despite it's size doesn't have any really good computer shops so if you want a specfic product you have to do it on line.
