A far more interesting question is: how would you open the kingside if you were black and WHEN?Join MURCs Distributed Computing effort for Rosetta@Home and help fight Alzheimers, Cancer, Mad Cow disease and rising oil prices.

Yep Fritz would shuffle Queen, knights back and forth similar on his back files as the deep X3D Fritz did.
I was following the game with 2 engines running.
First: Kasparov's bishop and knight were holding Fritz's bishop and knight in their original positions, so Fritz had too little pieces to conjure up kingside (h5) attack, when king moved away, it was too late for Fritz to do something.
After Kasparov built up his attack, it was too late as proabably exchange of heavy pieces would follow, leaving kasparov with small pieces and C pawn 2 moves short of Queening.Last edited by UtwigMU; 18 November 2003, 07:50.

Don't use computers, they suck at chess as was just well proven
More importantly, make your own assesment and jsut use the PC to check those, that's the way to learn it I guess.Join MURCs Distributed Computing effort for Rosetta@Home and help fight Alzheimers, Cancer, Mad Cow disease and rising oil prices.

I was listening to chess.fm
The game was covered by Tony Rook and GM John Fedorowicz
The Rook guy said: We got this question from Vienna Australia, where Fedorowicz corrected him.
After that he couldn't pronounce Managua Nicaragua (capital) - it's in your own backyard.
There is even a Vienna game.
Now, I understand that average Joes Sixpacks don't know where Austria is, but this guy is supposed to be chess expert.
One has to ask himself: If USA chess players/experts are that ignorant, what are their Joes Sixpacks like?
