Most will not retract, they just have an overload fuse in them to protect the motor.

EVERYthing is an excuse to stand up on a soapbox and rag with some of you people, especially the past few months. Seems like all the light-heartedness has been drained from a lot of you people. Spot on TR... I'm not a proper PW but I like to read stuff at MURC because people here used to be relaxed enough to have fun and take these fori for what they are. Nowadays everyone seems to take everything personal and i.e. bash anything that's vaguely PC, but take a "we like animals and we are so sensitive" stance when needed. Lot of hipocracy...

I love jokes, but if they involve random killing of innocent creatures, that's just not an object of humor for me. I really don't see how anyone else could find such a thing funny, either. About the closest I come to that was laughing at the knight getting his arms and legs chopped off in Monty Python and the Holy Grail. It was still funny because he kept acting like he was fine. The killing of the professor in that movie was just a dud as far as I was concerned.

The only reason I got on a soapbox here was because I felt it was important to not encourage sadists by making them think such things are in some way funny. I mean, don't we have enough problems without big dumb people trying to make people laugh by going around murdering whatever they see?

I'm all for lightheartedness, but can't we find something better to be lighthearted about?
