Uh, can't quite remember it. It wasn't more than 28 million. You can actually find me there. Just look up J1NG on the top 100 (unless more people have recently submitted and pushed me down). Probably 28.5 million or something around there.

Missed out on a lot of the time and end of level bonus' though. So really there should be around another 3 million on my score. So people that did everything should reach around 30 million easily.

More if you intercept and combo.

I've just started playing this game. It's very good!!!

I've just left the monastry after defeating alma(sp?)

I have found that the Dragon Sword is the only decent weapon.... Is it worth trying the flail or upgrading the wooden sword?

If you upgrade the wooden sword all the way it becomes the Unlaboured Flawlessness, kind of like a big cricket bat. It's one of the most powerful weapons in the game but very slow so it's not good in a fight with multiple enemies. The dragon sword is the most versatile weapon in the game. It's fast, has a good assortment of combos, and gets very powerful after it's upgraded all the way. Having the Flails fully upgraded can be very helpful in later parts of the game. One fun aspect of the game is the ability to play again using weapons you didn't rely on the first time. Also, playing the Master Ninja Tournament 2 mode gives you a new weapon called the Lunar. It's very popular with the finesse crowd that likes to master all the combo moves.

Be warned though. You can not upgrade the Wooden Sword all the way until Chapter 10 at least. And from start to finish (that is from Level 1 wooden sword to Level 7) will cost you 120000 essence. Yes, that's right, more than what your essence meter will actually hold at full (99999).

Yes, it's Alma. Anyone else find some of the CGI movies in there somewhat, ehm, you know...?

Well I just beat the Triceratops dudes. I used the level 3 Dahiabro (sp?). I got beaten pretty badly but I can tell that had I been more patient to learn their moves I could have taken them out without much blood shed of my own. The biggest problem is still the camera.

Yeah, as I said too, both camera angles suck for the fights against them, as the camera often backs up behind you, and you loose sight of them. Then you get hit three times by one and another two times by the other one and loose a talisman of rebirth. If they could get a camera that always locks onto one target, such as with the big boss's, then the fight will be a lot easier.

Hey J1NG,

I think I might have found a minor glitch in the game.

I just finished the underwater level, probably the only dumb level in the game, and I'm doing some bat farming in the cavern below the monastery so I can buy some supplies before I face Doku. Well I got bored and decided to go down to the ritual room to kill some skeleton fiends. I've already completed the 60 fiend challenge but I wanted some variety after killing so many bats.

Well I got to the ritual room and there was the chest that appeared when I won the challenge, but unlike most chests that have been previously opened, it was closed. And I don't seem to be able to open it! I opened it after the challenge to receive the LOTG but now it's closed. No matter what angle I try to approach it from, I don't get the option to try to open it.

Do you have the same problem? I don't remember this from when I played the game on "Normal" last year.

It's not a big deal, but I can't help feel that there's an easter egg there and I can't figure it out.

What do you think?

I dunno. I didn't come across that, because I didn't get bored enough to run back there after I did the challenge once. (I farmed the ghost fish instead ).

Hmmm, I can go back and have a look though. Though I think it's probably more the download messing up something. Be back later with what happens on my machine.

I've since read on the official forums that others have experienced it too. Oh well, I've heard of worse glitches.

PS, I seem to recall doing a lot of ghost fish farming toward the end of the game when I played on normal. It was sometime around when you have to fight the fiends arena style.

Near there. It's actually in the "Labarinth" that you get to first farm fish. It's after that, through the Palace gates that you get to farm fish close to the drawbridge.

Well, OK, since it appers to be a glitch. I won't try and find it on my machine. (Knowing my luck of late, I'll probably kill the XBox itself going there)
