  • The scenery is very Heartland, USA, so to me it would narrow it down to Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, maybe Okalahoma (but I doubt it), maybe South Dakota and maybe Missouri.

Nebraska, Kansas and Iowa are the best bets, though. Can't say I know of that church for sure.

That's because most of the plainscape in the US between the two mountain ranges is the same.

                  • I had a feeling it was Texas and started searching there yesterday

Texas has WAY TOO MANY counties & way, way, too many cemeteries. I searched 50 counties, starting from the northern part of the state, and got zippo.

All the easy searches yield nothing.

                    • Alright.. a clue then.. the town this church is named for no longer exists, but it is within 30 minutes drive of where I am.

                      • ok , that narrows it down a bit. Every county i've been in Texas has a few of those. Where are you "somewhere in the west" ? ElPaso, Amarillo, Lubbock, Odessa ? If you mean west Texas, then it is about 60 miles from your current location ?

                            What a PITA that was.
