            • Nowhere is the closest, very close, indeed, but what is the name of the world-famous agglomeration in the foreground? No, it is not Naples.

                    • Sorrento it is, as Luciano Pavarotti sings about turning to.

Did anyone see "Seagulls over Sorrento"? It was a very popular comedy written, I think, about 1948 about a naval research establishment in Scapa Flow. It was a first in theatre as being a major hit, running for over a year, with an all-male cast, not a skirt in sight. I have a vague feeling that a film was also made of it and also a musical, called Scapa, which was a total flop.

Your turn, but nothing too obscure, please!

                          • Do you mean the small hanging valley in the foreground or the large, deeper, one in the background?

My first guess is that looks as if it could be in the N part of the S. Asian subcontinent????? Or the S. part of adjoining China?????

OK, In that case, I'll plump for the western side of S.America. As the vegetation looks quite lush at a reasonable altitude, I'll guess not Chile. How's about N. Peru or Colombia????
