It's a rock. Rather tricky. Geologically, it looks like a roche moutonnée, although it's difficult to tell. If the white specks are birds, it's pretty small.
One area where there are roches moutonnées in abundance is Central Scotland and there are a number of such islands in both the Firth of Forth and the Firth of Clyde. I'll guess for the Firth of Forth, although I don't recognise it.Brian (the devil incarnate)
