  • OK, it's over 24 h since Dansker Duke gave the answer and he hasn't posted a pic to guess. It's open to anyone, now, to do so (one at a time, please!! )

    • Perhaps I haven't earned the right, but give this a try:

      • That looks a bit like the support wires for the London Eye.

        • That would be because they are the support wires for the London Eye
          FT.

            • As that only lasted 20 minutes and Steve hasn't followed up, try this:

              FT.

              • Reverse view from the London Eye looks down on where I am for my cigarrette breaks throughout the day The office is just off-camera to the left...

FT's next one looks familiar but not enough to make a guess...

                • Sorry - no electronic photos in my immediate vicinity.

Funny - I don't remember the glass enclosure around the wires - is that new in the last year or so?

                  • Yup it's reasonably new I think - used to just be fenced off. Guess they though that part is a bit vulnerable to attack... blow the anchor and the whole thing falls into the river!

                    • We went on it a couple of weekends ago, followed by the cruise...the commentary mentioned George my name

I considered saying Geroge couldn't guess but thought that would make it even more obvious!

                        • It's a rock. Rather tricky. Geologically, it looks like a roche moutonnée, although it's difficult to tell. If the white specks are birds, it's pretty small.

One area where there are roches moutonnées in abundance is Central Scotland and there are a number of such islands in both the Firth of Forth and the Firth of Clyde. I'll guess for the Firth of Forth, although I don't recognise it.

                          • Sorry for the bad typing in the last post...PWP needs revising

It is pretty small..could be walked around in 30 minutes. You are thinking too far away from home.

Hint: There are some notable birds there, but not on this picture.

no. They are captive, and sometimes give their name to the island.
