Anyone else see it? I do have to say it was prob one of the most retarted movies I've ever seen. Only thing good in it was the special effects.

I saw most of this on an airplane. It's almost bad enough to buy the DVD and have a dumb movie party.
I loved the errors in scale (statue of liberty totally under water, which then becomes a 30-foot high slow moving wave going down the street, etc.)

Have you ever tried to use call phones during or after a power outage? I got the opportunity during last years huge US power outage. They'd have been lucky to reach someone on the other side of the room

They have battery backups, power generators and all sorts of stuff backing up the power for cell towers, central offices and all switcing locations. Trust me, I work for a telco. It would take weeks, if not months, before cell service would be lost.

BTW whats the avg range for a Cell Tower anyway? Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?

Glad to see I'm not the only one that was rolling my eyes during the movie. Alot of things made no sense.
@GT98, I'm no expert on cell tower range, but I'm sure it varies depending on how high up it is. I would wager ~ 2-5 miles coverage diameter per tower. Even that might be a bit on the high side.Go Bunny GO!
