Googlers and people who already know the answer be gone!

Think of words ending in -GRY. Angry and hungry are two of them. There are only three words in the English language. What is the third word? The word is something that everyone uses every day. If you have listened carefully, I have already told you what it is.

When you've worked it out post a new riddle.
Please don't google it, and if you already know then please allow others to stir this over in their minds. Googling this will mean that an onion will fall on your head at an inconvenient moment, such is the curse I put on riddle googlers

I know the answer but I don't care to think up/google for another riddle. A hint for those inclined to pursue this... don't assume a grammatical mistake in the second sentence of the riddle.

How Long is a Chinese? I thought so.

he used to have a PWP count (posts while pissed)
so I countered with a PWNP (Posts while not Pissed)

but some how it got miscunstued to mean 'Posts with No Pants'

In that case I'm afraid that my PWNP rating would be quite high indeed!

If I choose to not know and avoid your cyber curse by not goolging it, does that mean I win?

The third sentence of the riddle states that, "The word is something that everyone uses every day."

I don't know about you but I don't have much use for "gry" in daily life.

I do use "language" fairly regularly. High_Jumbllama is the winner.

The riddle is actually a trick question as there are many obsolete english words that end with "gry". But if you read carefully, you'll see that it's not asking for a word that ends in "gry".

                          Since there are no takers:

How would you determine the weight of an elephant without a scale large enough to weigh it directly? (not one foot at a time)

I know this one too, but I don't care to answer. For a hint, think of Archimedes but remeber that the question is one of weight not volume.

                              The third word is "words."

Measure the weight of the water displaced by the elephant. Assuming you can get an elephant into a tank and then trap all the water flowing out.

Maybe I'm overthinking. I do that a lot at the end of an exhausting day.
