Wow, this is the most enjoyable injury I've ever had! True, the bruising around my eye where I got kicked in the face takes away a little of the fun, but it's still hard to beat having an eye that feels like it's got sand in it. It's also giving me a good chance to practice typing with both eyes closed. Anyone want to hazard a guess as to if I'm being perhaps a tad bit sarcastic?

Couldn't get the plate number, kinda hard when you can barely see out one eye (if you've never been struck hard in an eye it's an interesting effect. ) Also, it was pretty dark, happened right after midnight. The cops got there really damn quick but other than taking down the information there wasn't much they could do on the spot.
Not sure if the muggers were from this area or not, but when talking to the cops it seems there's a bigger drug problem around here than we first thought: while they were investigating a murder that was just a block away (that was apparently "just" a domestic dispute gone bad) they found 50-60k worth of crack and some meth too. Needless to say we're going to be checking up on different apartments.
As far as a nice adult beverage, I'm on lortabs, probably don't want to mix 'em with alcohol. That plus some antibiotic eyedrops every two hours, hopefully it doesn't take too long to heal, from what I've read it should only take a few days.
Back to bed for two more hours before the next eyedrops, thanks everyone!

I got a corneal injury about 5 years ago when I accidentally flipped a piece of 18 gauge speaker wire and got its point end directly in the eye. Luckily, the end was not stripped and just a tiny fraction of a millimeter was protruding from the insulation when it happened. I waited in the emergency room waiting area for an hour with the direlects who go there for regular medical care while the stupid ****ing bitch who was supposed to be running the receiving area did nothing to contact the on-call eye specialist. I had to call him myself from the house phone. Some people are just too stupid and useless to be allowed to live.
