Michigan has something similar, but with out health insurance it's not something we'd necessarily need.

While it's an HMO the Health Alliance Plan (HAP) through Henry Ford Hospital covers everything from soup to nuts; eye exams, preventive care, use any doctor in the system including specialists at any time (and they have the best), same-day appointments, $5 prescriptions and all kinds of other stuff.

Good enough that we've had it for >25 years.

Wow... I can seriously say that would never happen in Norway.

Which is why Europeans just can't begin to comprehend why Americans insist on keeping our guns.

Nice idea. Very few towns can afford enough police to patrol all areas all the time.
