I took my Intermediate Pistol Class yesterday and used my new Stainless Les Baer Stinger for the entire class. I put 600 rounds through the Stinger with only one problem due to an 8 round Wilson mag not fitting right. We shot various postitons from 50 yards up to 3 yards. I was very surprised to out shoot everyone at 50 yards with the shorter barreled 4.25 inch Stinger.
I already have my CCW but am continuing with all the training I can get.
This is what the class consisted of:
Intermediate Pistol WeaponCraft
Your skill at arms will continue to develop as you learn to apply strategies like using cover and distance to your advantage. The course wraps up qualification to Federal Law Enforcement standards and night fire. Seventy percent of self defense shootings occur at night. At this, your second day at WeaponCraft we will train you to survive at night.
You will learn the following:
Shooting from the kneeling, squatting and prone positions around, over and under barricades
Movement to cover
Shooting one handed with either hand
Hitting targets from 50 yards with your pistol
Engaging targets that are to the side or behind you
Walking forward, backward and laterally while shooting
Night Fire
Waiting for a Glock to clear at 50 yds kneeling.
Part of the Federal qualification. That's me in the plaid shirt on the end.
Part of the Federal qualification.
Part of the Federal qualification.
Waiting for another Glock to clear.....LOL!!!
2 Glocks, a Sig and a Kimber had FTFs/FTEs. My little Les Baer Stinger made one heck of an impression during the class especially at 50 yds.
