Bewildering? Seriously? humpf! If you expect me to believe that, you expect me to believe that you are the most naive person on Earth. Seriously, the number of people downloading this is relatively insignificant, but the greed of billionaires should never be a surprise to anyone.
Of course his motivations weren't confusing to me. I was making a comment on his logic. I'll try to be less bewildering to you in the future.
I've watched the Work Print all the way through. I quickly stopped noticing the time stamp at the top. I think that the picture quality was pretty good. It could have been better but it was very watchable.
My one disappointment was with the sound. For fear of disturbing my neighbours, I couldn't blast the volume like they do in a real theatre; I found some of the dialog hard to follow. It wasn't a huge deal because most of the dialog was dumb. There was something I couldn't grasp in the conversation at the end between Obi Wan and Yoda that I might have to start a spoiler thread to ask about.

Reason: typo
The dialogue stilted? The script horrible? Hayden Christensen's acting worse than terrible?
Yeah, sounds like Star Wars to me.
But the lightsaber battles, dying Jedi, and Emperor make up for it. Plus, I hear that James Earl Jones does all the dialogue once the mask goes on, everyone in the theater will likely cheer for the end of Hayden's WHIIIIIIINING.

I think that Hayden Christensen was a terrible choice for Anakin. His entire range is nothing more than whiney brat. That Natalie Portman's character would fall for him is totally unbelievable.
I dunno. There will always be a call for "moody" actors who women seem to think are cute.
God DAMN, everything that boy says comes out as a whine. Anyone see him in "life as a house"?

The thing I dont get is that they had on Esposide one on last sunday and the actor they had playing anakin looked like he was 7, when natalie portman was supposed to be around 15-16 in the movie. WTF
Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?
Episode 1: Amidala is 14 and Anakin is 9.
Episode 2: Amidala is 23 and Anakin is 18.
Episode 3: not sure.. how far along are we supposed to be now? 5 more years?
What was a bit weird was Obi-Wan.. I guess he might have gone from age 23 to 32 in episodes 1 and 2. He sure was an old padawan then. Let's see.. Luke is 20-25 in episode 4 and Obi-wan is about 65 at youngest. Hmm
Weird government where the elected queen is an adolescent and made up like a Geisha..

I suppose I can show off a little of my geekiness here:
The Clone Wars, at least the part that takes place between ep 2 and 3, takes up 3 years ... almost exactly. That would put Anakin at 21 and Amidala at 26 at the time of ep 3.
Obi-wan was 25 during ep1, so that makes him 37 for ep 3, and 57'ish for ep. 4. Seems about right. All of the Jedi 'aged' faster during the 20 years between eps 3 and 4 because the dark side dominated the force ... once again, according to lore. Thus Obi-wan and Yoda, who were very strong Jedi during ep 3, were nearly wasted away by ep. 4.
In Star Wars lore, Naboo has a long standing tradition of electing young women to be their queens. Lucas tried to show this by briefly showing Amidala's replacement in ep. 2 as yet another young female. This is supposedly why Palpatine chose Naboo as his staging ground, because it was easier to manipulate a naive girl than a hardened politician... or so extended universe lore goes.
When dealing with the Skywalker family you have to understand that they, meaning Anakin and Luke, were supposed to 'freaks' among the Jedi. They were both supposed to be god aweful powerful and skillful. Lucas tried to show this with the mid ... whatever count that Anankin had. "His midiclorine count is higher than even Master Yodas," was the quote.
Anywho, if you look at the other padawan learners in the SW universe, they typically range from teenagers to twenties. Anakin, being not only uber powerful but living in a time of war, was given the opportunity to advance faster to a Jedi that a normal padawan. The animated Clone Wars micro-series (ep 21, watch it here) shows that the Jedi counsel is very hesitant to give Anakin the rank of Jedi in the beginning, but since it is a time of war and Anakin has proven himself over and over again, the counsel grants him Jedi status.
I should probably at least watch the last episode again before I watch Episode 3 on Monday. I don't recall much of anything from Episodes 1 and 2, which I both watched at home (at least I think I watched them ).

hey jammrock, have you read any of the star wars books? are they any good? which ones would you recommend?
I haven't read a lot of them. The Timothy Zhan books were pretty good. I've read mostly the comics and some of the online stuff from the TheForce.net and StarWars.com. And of course the Clone Wars micro-series (which was so good it made me wish all of the prequels were animated and directed by Gendy Tartakovsky (or however you spell his last name).

the only question i have because i havent read the books. is
Who is Anakins father?
Was it really immaculate conception?
Is Qui-Gon Jinn his father?
Is the father Palpatine?, as they already said he has the power to manipulate the midiclorians and create life..
FWIW, the midnight screening here (Wednesday, 00:01, when the movie came out here) was extremely popular (> 15000 viewers !).
