the question thats annoying the hell out of me.
Well according to Shmi Skywalker in Episode 1, Anakin's mother, it was an immaculate conception. Also I think it was also the first time that she met Qui-Gon Jinn too. As for Palpatine... I don't know.

i suppose it wasnt palpatine. I'm sure of now that the dark side and the good side 'made' Anakin.

That does it. I'm heading over to a friend's house now to grab his Episode 2 DVD. I've got to watch this again so I'll be prepared for Episode 3 on Monday.

I'm not that ambitious and I just have too many other things to do. The reviewing of the last movie is just going to have to be good enough.

I just went over my LD collection of Star Wars with my friend. I've got two copies of the original in extended play wide-screen format, one of which is still sealed and has the $69.99 price tag and Pioneer stickers still on it. I also have two copies of "Return of the Jedi" in pan-and-scan and wide-screen format, both extended plays. I apparently never picked up an "Empire" LD. The sealed copy might even garner it's purchase price considering the LDs are collectibles (original footage).

xortam, you should try to watch the clone wars cartoons, they tell the story of the war between the end of the ep2 and the beginning of ep3. They're well worth it.

How could I do that? It's not like I'm going to pay for a copy and I don't steal copies off of P2P. I could catch it if they happened to show it on one of my many satellite TV subscriptions but I doubt I'll find it. What's the official title?

... o.k. ... I'm out of here to grab the Ep. 2 DVD from my friend. ...

You might be able to rent it... Maybe you have a friend who bought it and can lend it to you... I think I've heard of a few sites that legitimately have the episodes available as flash movies...

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I read in a mag that Palpatine's Master had the abitily to create life and as we know Sith apprentists normally kill their masters, so I'm assuming he learned this before killing him
Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?

For those that have seen it - how violent does it tend to get? Or rather, would a child who had no problems watching Spiderman 2 in the theatre be troubled by any of the said violence?

My son likes Star Wars and has seen both of the earlier prequels (the second at an IMAX theatre) and I'm trying to determine if it would be appropriate to take him.

Violent wise, I'm pretty sure Spider-Man 2 was more violent.

Hmmm, the only scene(s) I could think of that might be disturbing to a child. Is when Obi-Wan strikes down Anakin and Anakin starts to burn from close proximity to molten lava. And when they were making Anakin into Vader. Both scenes are at or very near the end.

If he didn't have any problems watching Sin City or Passion of Christ he should be ok with Star Wars.

Seriously, the only part that might be mildly disturbing would be the end result of Mr. Kenobis and Mr. Skywalkers fight.

Whoops, J1NG beat me to the punchline.

Ah okay, thanks for letting me know. I think the only movie he's ever had any frights with was Jurassic Park 3, but that may have been because it was such a horrid movie
