I just finished the movie and I really enjoyed it. One thing bothers me, though. The robot "R2D2" was able to do lots of things it wasn't able to do at later time (in the original episodes 4-6). Flying around using the rockets, for example...
You're kidding, right? JP3 rocked! That Spinosaurus was wicked as hell..
You're right, it wasn't too bad. Much better than the second and it was more in the spirit of the JP books (which neither of the first two truly were).

Please be careful talking about the new movie in the open or I'm going to have to quit reading this thread until next week. I don't like knowing anything about new movies I'm going to watch, which includes watching trailers.

You might be able to rent it... Maybe you have a friend who bought it and can lend it to you... I think I've heard of a few sites that legitimately have the episodes available as flash movies...

Do you have an exact title? I doubt I'll put much work into tracking down a copy of this cartoon. I'll be lucky to rewatch Ep. 2 this weekend. I also grabbed Ep. 1 (and "ST: Nemesis") from my friend. He didn't know anything about a clone wars cartoon. I might rewatch Ep. 1 again as well but at least I remember that I watched that one before, unlike Ep. 2.

ok i have another question. if R2D2 and CP30 were around all this time... why didnt they let Luke and the Princess know anything? like.. "HEY you two are twins by the way!" or "Hey you know your dad is Darth Vader."
I'm sure the "official" explanation is that their memory was erased sometime between the end of Ep. 3 and Ep. 4 (remember that Uncle Owen wanted Luke to take the droids into town the next morning and have their memory erased before Luke discovered that R2-D2 had went off looking for Obi-Wan.)
Speaking of Obi-Wan, I wonder what excuse there is for him to somehow forget in Empire Strikes Back that:
potential spoiler:
Anakin's girlfriend delivered twins RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM, THEN NAMED THEM LUKE AND LEIA, AND PROMPTLY KICKED THE BUCKET, ALL WHILE HE STOOD THERE WATCHING.
How could I do that? It's not like I'm going to pay for a copy and I don't steal copies off of P2P. I could catch it if they happened to show it on one of my many satellite TV subscriptions but I doubt I'll find it. What's the official title?
You can either rent/buy the Clone Wars cartoon of DVD, or watch it on StarWars.com:

@ Liz:
Officially, if my memory is working today, Shimi's midiclorian levels were so high, as in the entire skywalker family, that life simple sprung up in her belly. Similar to the way the Sith Masters keep themselves alive through creating life.
Though there were rumors for a long time that Palpatine used some Sith trick to impregnant Shimi. Raising a child as a slave in the fringes of the galaxy who 1) had a family history of high midiclorians, and 2) was artificially granted additional midiclorian, would make one super powerful jedi. Noice how Naboo, Palpatine's launching pad, and Tatooine are in relaitively close proximity. With Palpatine's future vision abilities (Palpatine is always saying "I have forseen it"), he could manipulate events to make Anakin a Jedi and then turn him to the dark side.
...but those were just rumors, and I haven't read any Lucas official answer to that theory.

I'm sitting in the theater right now waiting for the movie to start. It's too damn early. It's about 8:45 in the morning. Posting this from my Treo 650.
Ladies and gentlemen, take my advice, pull down your pants and slide on the ice.
Wish they had early showings like that here. In the larger cities nearby they might, but we're lucky if we can get a matinee that starts before 3:00 in the afternoon.

Thanks for the link. It looks like I'd have to lower my security settings in order to access the video. I'll see what I can do later today after I rewatch Ep. 2.

Just watched Episodes 1 and 2 again. First time to watch episode 1 on the big B&W system.. man oh man.. you guys who have some pathetic little cube "surround sound" system just have no idea what you are missing.
Anyhow, I don't know why people rag on Episode 1.. it's really pretty good. The little kid Anakin is actually a better actor than Hayden Christensen.. which is scary. JarJar is amusing, and the comic relief actually helps.. there is not really any comic relief in Episode 2, unless you count Threepio at the end, which was kinda lame. Liam Neeson was interesting to watch as a Jedi, too. The battle scene is pretty cool and the scene where Anakin blows up the control ship was awesome, even though it is pretty much the same thing we saw in Return of the Jedi.
Episode 2 was watchable but I really didn't like Hayden Christensen much. The scene by the fireplace where he confesses his love to Padme was painfully embarassing. The confluence of bad acting and a silly script with a director who really is not good with directing actors made this the worst moment in all the 5 movies I have seen. It was just awful. Even Cary Grant would have been hard pressed to deliver that dialogue, but at least he would have made it more interesting and believable. Ugh. The best part of Episode 2 by far was Padme in the White Nipple Suit.
By the way, the obligatory lightsaber duel at the end of Episode 1 kicks ass.. just absolutely blows away any of the others. I had to watch it 3 times.
Gonna go watch the Clone Wars DVD now.. plan to see Episode 3 during the week sometime when the crowds are a bit less.
