Well, I thought the movie was pretty darn good. The storyline seemed much better than the last two. Also, I didn't think the acting was as bad as some of you are saying. I look forward to the box set of the entire Star Wars series.
Ladies and gentlemen, take my advice, pull down your pants and slide on the ice.

He'd better do it in DTS or I won't bother with it. I don't know why Lucas refuses to put DTS soundtracks on his DVDs.

Because Lucas and Dolby are oooooooooooollllllddddddd friends. The Dolby EX 6.1 specification was co-developed by Dolby and Skywalker sound specifically fo Ep. 1. They have been bedfellows for quite a while. It rather interesting since Lucas good friend Spielberg was he original backer for DTS w/ Juraasic Park. Chances are you will never hear a SW movie in DTS.

But did you watch Clone Wars? The animated stuff that nicely covers the gap from Ep II to III.

.. except in the theater. They all have DTS soundtracks for theatrical presentation, so why not on DVD?

Here is what I am waiting for really.. All movies on Blu-Ray disc in DTS

I need a new preamp-processor.. now using a Yamaha RXV995 for that, but otherwise, I have a pair of B&W Nautilus 802s powered by an Aragon 8008BB amp, a Nautilus HTM1 center channel speaker and Nautilus 805s on the rear channels powered by an 8008x3 amp, and a Velodyne SPL1200 powered sub. Watched both movies last night at a nicely stentorian level without being bothered by the loudness, the sound quality was so perfect.

Yes, he flew in Episode 2 also (in the droid-factory), yet 'walked' up quite a lot of stairs at the end of Episode 1 (why didn't he fly there?).

Is the new movie as shitty as "Clone Wars"?

Guess he hasn't been watching TV much the last month. They've been playing 'em all with EP. II being played just this last weekend.

Just got back from watching it. It sucked, nuff said.

I was so let down by this movie I was not even excited to see my bud Darth Vader come to life.

Well - I disagree.
I think it was certainly the best of episodes 1-3, and a pretty darn good movie as well. Remember - we all knew the ending before we went into the theater. That puts a helluva big burden on the movie to entertain us and (try to) keep us in suspense.

Was it very "effect-y"? Yes.
Did it have some stupid kid humor? Yes.
Was there bad acting? Check.

Yet it was still a fun movie to watch, and some things were done really well.

Just my $0.02.

I thought it was a good film ... good but certainly not great. It wasn't in the league of the "Lord of the Rings" films.

I never did get a chance to see Ep. 2 again before today but I doubt it would have made a difference in my understanding or appreciation of the film either way.

I do have a couple questions though ... one of which I recall at the moment ...
What were Padmé’s last words? We think it was something like “he’s still there”.
