My DVR taped the first part of the opening 2 parter last night. Haven't watched it yet, but BOY ARE WE EXCITED!!!!!!!

It was very good. One of those "setting up the second half of the season" type of deals. Nothing major, but sets up a great next ep. I say no more until people have seen it.

This is definately the best TV series on TV anywhere. It's the first TV series I've even contemplated buying on DVD (though I'll wait for the Blu-ray/HD-DVD version to hit before I buy ... because I'm like that).

    Can't wait until next week

It was really good...and next week looks to be great also
Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?

I just saw it. It seemed to drag on in parts because it had to setup the events for the next episode.

        I liked it though.

And next week's episode does look to be really promising.
        P.S. You've been Spanked!

I'm not waiting for HD/Blu-Ray, because this tv show is SPECIFICALLY shot in a variety of handheld-cam modes and is specifically grainy/blurry in spots. HD won't help that any.

Have you watched the HD caps from the UK ... or was it Canada? Anyway, they looked very good. Sure there grainy parts, but overall it was much better than the NTSC broadcasts.

Yes, I'm talking about the Sky-1 HDTV caps. They're very nice - albeit purposely grainy and blurry and shaky. It's awesome, it's well-thought-out, but it wouldn't be served well by going to HDTV. Y'know, much like the original Star Trek.

Actually waiting for the original Star Trek on BluRay.. it was done on film, you know.. 35mm. It should look pretty good in HD. I was really surprised how good Hogan's Heroes looked when I saw it on HDNet. It was obviously done on film too. Weird not hearing the laugh track, though..

The sky stuff isn't HD, it's just widescreen. Or is that what you mean by HD?

Hogan's Heroes with no laugh track... now that'd just be odd.

Corner Gas, hilarious canadian comedy with no laugh track.

just goes to show that canadian shows don't need a laugh track to make things funny... unlike the stuff that is coming from south of the border.

Arent all older movies/TV shows just upscaled NSTC format to HDTV?
