No, during season 2.0 we were told - by the original Sharon... err... well the one that was sleeping with the Chief... that there were EIGHT Cylons on the fleet. But not how many DIFFERENT models there were.

Cylon models we already know about:

    - Guy from armory
    - Tour guide
    - Eve
    - Sharon
    - The "doctor" from Caprica that treated Starbuck
    - Lucy Lawless

Refresh my memory if I've forgotten any.

Ragnar Station Cylon: one killed by Adama, the other freeze dried.

Number Six/Gina; I have a feeling Number Six may have been permanently removed from Baltar's consciousness with the destruction of the Resurrection. Gina waxed the Good Admiral.

Tour Guide: one left on Ragnar station, the other blew himself to bits.

Sharon: The "Chief's" Sharon Killed. Helo's is carrying his child.

The Doctor: If you look carefully on Season 2; We have seen this one THREE times. Twice on Caprica, where both versions were killed.

Lucy Lawless: Slimy reporter. I KNEW there was something wrong with all the major news networks. We see a copy of her on Caprica.

A few have suggested the 12 models each represent a God of Kobol, which are taken from Greek Mythology.

TV Squad says there are 7 models. I remeber Sharon saying there were 8 (when Baltar poisoned the Chief (forgot his name all of a sudden))? Can't remember if that was 8 cylons in the fleet or 8 models. Anyway, TVsquad.com says there are 7 models, whoever wrote the Wikipedia article says 12. One from each colony.

Which would make sense, considering Sharon's story. She was the sole survivor after a huge mining accident on her homeworld ... which left no one alive to say she wasn't around before the accident. Coincidence? Not likely.

Detailed description of the six known models so far.

        ...best show on television.

I think thats why Baltar told her about the story that 6 told him...to get her out of his thought process due to the impending destruction of the resurrection ship, question of the hour is where did she wind up?
Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?

REAL question of the hour is how she got into his head in the first place. Scans reveal there's no anomalies in his brain. What does that mean? Is she psychic? Or is she there on some more fundamentally subconscious level? And remember - she has appeared in the flesh on Galactica, during which period she was NOT in his brain! Then she just POOF disappeared from Galactica. I have a feeling she's at least a little psychic, perhaps attuned to Baltar, and was very likely on the Resurrection ship.

That or Baltar is a Cylon sleeper agent who is connected into the Cylon network, which would allow Six to get into his head ant time the res ship was in range. After all, brain scans don't find cylons.

Hmm now THAT is an interesting thought. But if so, then what's all the nonsense about him fathering a child with Number Six? Not that the child is really his anyway, it's Helo and Sharon's... but still?

I'm voting for Number Six having "done something" to his brain that doesn't show up on scans. So her initial insistence that he has a "chip" in his head maybe isn't that far off, only it doesn't look like a chip.

Well we already know that Cylons don't appear to be non-human physilogically, save for a few things here and there (which might not show up in a scan). So it's very possible something was implanted into his body/brain that just isn't detectable.

Highly doubting Baltar is a sleeper agent. That sort of spin would almost be a copout, nevermind that it would fly in the face of his character.

If he were a sleeper agent, there's NO WAY that Number Six would have let him blow up the Resurrection Ship.

                      I just watched episode 12.
I don't understand how they managed to wipe out two base stars with their fleet. In a previous episode they wouldn't dare risk attacking one.

How did Apollo know where the FTL drive was on the resurection ship???
Interesting development, but i thought the episode was a bit of a let down considering that the previus episode was building it up.

                      Roll on next week!

Yeah, the battle did seem a little unrealistic given previous encounters, and there didn't appear to be focus on any damage done to the Battlestars or fighters (save for Apollo's). It's obvious it was done in favour of focusing on the other elements of the story, but I'd agree it was glossed over a bit much given the importance of the mission.

Well from what I understand and read over on the Sci-fi Boards....Given a one on one situation with a Basestar, a Battlestar can more then hold its own since it has more firepower then a basestar. The Power of a basestar comes from Radiers and Heavy Raiders, which where chasing down the bait fleet. Could also assume that with the Pegusas, their fighter compelments where nearly full strength.

As for the FTL drive, Starbuck did a recon of the ship...I guess they where able to figure out where it was from that.

Not too far of a strech...

That and the two battlestars got on each side of the basestar and blasted it with its full ordinance. Simple divide and conquer tactic. The basestar did the wrong thing and split its attack between the two ships. Less missiles fired at a single ship is easier for a full ordinance to shoot down, and less damage to a battlestar since fewer missiles would hit.

The only thing that bugged me about the battle was the lack of Raiders. Either the full tactical deployment from the combined Pegesus and Galactica was enough to keep the raiders from a direct assualt on the battlestars, or the surprise attack took out enough Raiders before launch that there simply wasn't enough of them to cause a problem. Remember that the squad that gunned down the ressurection ship was virtually unmolested.

An important point not to be overlooked is that the Cylon in Baltar's head wasn't able to warn the Cylons in space about the divide and conquer plan of the humans.

She knew it was happening at the time because she was upset about it.

Unless the writers overlooked something and messed up the mythology, that little observation may help in the long run to understand their relationship better.

I swear there were two basestars, but in hindsight maybe I just wasn't paying enough attention.
