I don't have a problem with it in a private place, as long as you inform guests. Minor quibble: It's absolutely illegal to jam, but it's legal to shield a place.

It's like the universal TV power button. Can't remeber the name of it, but some guy invented a key chain that can turn off 100+ models of TV in under 5 seconds.
