I don't have a problem with it in a private place, as long as you inform guests. Minor quibble: It's absolutely illegal to jam, but it's legal to shield a place.

If they would make it directional and power it from a car cigarette lighter I'd buy one legal or not.

And then you'd be distracting yourself even more than anyone driving while talking.

Oh sure, spoil the dream by injecting reality.

PS Besides which, I doubt it.

              az your a bad man.

How about, not a jammer, but something that auto switches phones to silent/vibrate in that radius - solves the doc problem.

How about having the button mounted to the steering wheel.. James Bond style?

It's like the universal TV power button. Can't remeber the name of it, but some guy invented a key chain that can turn off 100+ models of TV in under 5 seconds.

It would be nice for a change to be able to talk to my boss when I have to.. just press the button and get his loquacious butt off the phone.

Ridiculous. Such things would never happen if there was a more communal feeling among people.

KvH, didn't you read the article? The offending woman was Australian. Clearly she should go back where she came from before she ruins us with her multiculturalistic influence.

Come on Wombat, you know that this isn't an issue of multiculturalism. There's no hypocrisy on KvH's part here.

I know that you can't possibly be siding with the Texas woman who filed the complaint.

There's no need to attack KvH just for spite, is there?

Oh, come now. The irony of KvH lamenting the lack of a communal feeling - that's classic!

He's talking about what he assumes to be (or should be) an intrinsically American value though. Not something of foreign influence.

Anyway, not my fight. Don't mind me.
